Dimes

in 1996, the mint produced a circulation design dime for the very first time (and only time). This dime was not placed into circulation, but was made for collectors. This was done to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the design.

A one year mintage of Native American Dollars


(side note - in 1999 the Philadelphia mint  produced 22kt gold Sacagawea dated 2000-W. these were never released and are stored by the treasury. despite carrying a "W" they were not made in West Point. They were prototypes made at the Philadelphia mint. All but 12 were destroyed. These 12 went aboard the space shuttle Columbia for a flight into space. after returning, they were displayed at various museums.
